HI, May we introduce ourselves,we are Malcolm and Yvonne Ivinson.

A lot of websites are very classy with lots of bells, whistles and videos but are still impersonal selling sites.

We wanted a nice clear website but not just adverts and pictures.

We wanted to give helpful information about items that would be helpful for travellers and this will develop more and more as the website grows.

We love to travel, to see and experience new things and thought it would be a good idea to put some information on a website.

This website is an attempt to share our wonder about the marvellous world in which we live.

Now we have introduced ourselves, here is a little bit of personal background that may be of interest to you.

We have known each other, as of April 2010, fifty-three years and been married to each other for forty-three years in May.

As we have travelled through life and around the world together we have found it fantastic.

We have two marvellous kids and three fantastic grandkids.

The website didn’t come into being because of some traumatic event or some great insight. It was just started as a bit of fun and something new to learn.

I (Malcolm) being retired wanted something to do but didn’t want to start another traditional business or be tied down to working certain hours etc.

I wanted freedom so I thought a little website would keep me occupied.

So www.travelandshortbreaks.com was launched in April of 2009 as an attempt to give helpful information and our view of travelling the globe.

From that beginning the website that you see today has developed.

We have learned a lot and still have a lot to learn but that is part of the fun.

As we say, Travel and Short Breaks is not a travel agent site but an independent view of worldwide travel experiences.

We like to enjoy short breaks in various places throughout the world and we are always on the lookout for cheap or value for money city breaks.

We nearly always arrange our own vacations and go for direct holidays and weekend getaways.

Value for money vacations and holidays together with special travel deals for short breaks is what we love to find.

We try to introduce and share these things on the website.

When we started this website we knew nothing about what to do and only had a vague idea of what we wanted to accomplish.

We were fortunate in that we found SBI!
