Visit Mauritius Vacations Beaches and When To Go

<<>>

Places to visit Mauritius vacations are the beaches, if you like to relax in one of the most beautiful locations on the planet.

If you’re a beach bum, when you first step onto the beaches here you will instantly know that it is exactly where you want to be!

The only catch is that there are dozens of beaches to choose from.

The only problem you may encounter during your holiday is deciding whether you want your stay to be in one location, or whether you would rather explore all of these beaches on the island!

With the islands warm tropical climate, each day at the beach will be filled with hours and hours of total relaxation.

If you love to soak up the sun there is simply no other kind of vacation that could adequately compare to a beach vacation on the island.

The beaches here have the most beautiful sparkling white sand that you will ever see and warm, crystal-clear waters absolutely perfect for swimming and all types of water sports.

Mauritius when to go?

Your particular interests will influence this.

The best time to go diving is from December through March, when the ocean water is at its clearest while June through August is best for surfing.

For big game fishing October through April is excellent, as this is when the large predators feed close to shore.

Mauritius vacations can be taken throughout the year but the all round best time for vacations is during the summer months, which is November to April.

When you visit during this time the days are long, hot and sticky ideal for lounging and swimming in the Ocean, which seems more refreshing. There can be the threat of cyclones and you should be prepared to spend a couple of days indoors during extra-heavy rains if you visit between January and March.

If you wake up in the morning to rain don’t worry by the time you’ve had your breakfast it will most likely be blue skies and sunshine. Also if it’s raining where you are just move a few kilometers to find the sun is shining and not a cloud in sight.

Mauritius temperatures are in the summer, November to April, 26°C to 32°C and in winter, May to October, slightly cooler between 20°C and 26°C.

Hotel prices can drop over the winter months making some extremely good deals possible.

Your choice of beach can reflect your own individual preferences.

You can choose between the privacy of long, quiet beaches, beaches with shops and an active tourist life or beaches with a variety of water activities.

Whether you want to spend your entire trip at one beach, or visit every single beach that this island has to offer, you can be sure that every moment you are at the beach will be permanently etched into your memory as the most enjoyable beach vacation that you have ever experienced.

Mauritius holidays centers on beaches or other islands such as the tiny island of Ile aux Cerfs off Mauritius's east coast, which has beautiful blue lagoons, and beaches of its very own.

You could also explore the magnificent Le Morne peninsula.

Away from the beach, there are catamaran cruises or you could go shopping in Grand Baie or Port Louis.

You could call and see the strange natural phenomenon of the Coloured Earth at Chamarel.

This is where the earth can be seen separated into seven different colours, including red, yellow, orange, deep purple and blue. These are seen most distinctly in the light of the early-morning sun.

The coloured thick ripples of earth are believed to have resulted from the uneven rates at which the once-molten rock, which formed the island, cooled.

There's a children's play area and restaurant here, and be sure to see the wonderful waterfall close by that cascades nearly 90m to the pool below.

There are also the world-renowned botanical gardens of Jardin des Pamplemousses, an ideal place for some more relaxation and peace and quiet before heading back to the beach.

As an island situated in the Indian Ocean, it should not come as a surprise that Mauritius contains some of the most beautiful beaches in the entire world!

It should also not come as a surprise that each is unique in its own way, and each has much to offer.

You can easily design your own individualized vacation package around the amazing beaches of Mauritius.
