This island is situated in Table Bay with superb views of Cape Town, that is nine kilometers away, and Table Mountain.
South Africa is also a place for adventure holidays and activities with climbing, diving, horse riding, hiking, mountain biking, river rafting and surfing.
Canyoning, which is called kloofing here in southern Africa, is popular as is paragliding and hang gliding.
You can also take to the air above Africa with helicopter rides, balloon and microlight flights and of course skydiving.
If you need even more african thrills there is the 216 metre Bloukrans bridge which is the highest commercial bungee jump in the world.
