I collected a list last year, compiled by some travel agency, giving the all time top destinations for family holiday travel. Here it is. 1. France. France topped the list of the most visited European country. With the attractions of wine making areas, Alps and the luxury of the Mediterranean coast. 2. Spain. Spain is great family favorite for sunny beach holidays and fiestas. 3. United States. The USA offers a varied travel experience for the visitor with its outstanding natural scenery, fabulous theme parks and buzzing cities. 4. Italy. Italy is a favorite because of its rich culture, cuisine and outstanding natural beauty makes. 5. China. China makes for an enthralling destination. With its overcrowded boisterous cities, the wall and its diversity of scenery and peoples. 6. United Kingdom. The UK offers possibly the most variety in the smallest area but generally not the weather. 7. Austria. Austria is famed for the Alps and its love of the arts, including ballet, opera and theater. 8. Mexico. Mexico offers a look back at a lost civilization and gives a taste of the exotic. 9. Germany. Germany makes for an intriguing mix of natural countryside, river trips and individualistic cities. 10. Canada. Canada is fantastic for those who enjoy winter sports and the great outdoors.
